Looking for the ultimate stress-release? Try your hand at clay shooting. As the word “Pull’’ rings across the resort’s activities paddock, watch as a clay bird is catapulted through the air. Trace its path with the barrel, keeping your eye focused on the clay all the time before pulling the trigger. Your adrenalin will be racing when you blast that clay into smithereens.

ARCHERY

Have a go at Archery in our beautiful pine forest range.

The eye squints, the arm muscle tightens, the bow is drawn back and the arrow flies. Thwack! Off in the distance the target is pierced....

Well, at least that’s the theory, but why not give it a go. You'll love it, and who knows maybe you really are the next Robin Hood!

MINI OLYMPIC CHALLENGE

Why not try the Mini Olympic Challenge?

Combine clay shooting, archery and your chipping skills with a golf club and you have a great competition with your mates, work colleagues, hens/stag parties. Good for team building or a fun day out at the Terrace Downs High Country Resort.

In the Mini Olympic Challenge everyone competes in clay shooting, archery and golf chipping to see which team gets the highest score. All Newzengland activities are safe, cater to all abilities and are heaps of fun!

How to find us

All Newzengland activities are located at the Terrace Downs Resort which is nestled on the edge of the Rakaia Gorge at the base of Mt Hutt. It is at the Windwhistle end of Coleridge Road, seven kilometres off the Inland Scenic Route (State Highway 72).
